Over the years I have stumbled across many a useful site on the internet. Finding these sites is not as easy as you might think, and some have vanished into the mists of time. Nevertheless, here's my collection of useful corners of the web.

Also high on the list are the pages of friends and family. Family is limited to my sister, but friends with sites include Dan, Nick, Rick, and more besides. Go forth and explore - who knows, you may find something that interests you.

Anyway, on with the list. This is roughly categorised, but you try pinning down some of the sites here. So go on, close your eyes and click on a link. See where you end up.

Music

I listen to a lot of tracked or module music, and you'll need a suitable player. While some may suggest Winamp, I personally recommend XMPlay. Have a listen - this isn't the usual pop muzak. Everything listed here is free for personal use.

• The Mod Archive is pretty much the definitive collection of module format music, and has been around for many a year. If you're looking for mods by someone, chances are they will have it.
• On the flip side, scene.org is pretty much the definitive collection of anything demoscene. Also worth a look, for more than just music. Unusually in this day and age, they run a public ftp server with their full collection available.
• Lagoona & TSEC is an old dance and trance music group. They appear to be defunct, and the link given takes you to the Internet Archive's mirror.
• Level-D is unusual in that they create almost exclusively ambient/chillout tracked music, rather than the more common techno. Unfortuantly also defunct, but you can get their music still from the mirror on scene.org
• Outpost Music has an interesting mix of different music types. Their site's (as of 1st Feb 2007) undergoing a redesign, but they're still alive and updating.
• Psyonic Labs go in for trance more. Hmm, I've always wondered why so many scene groups are from mainland europe.
• Now, Third Eye (awesome, warder, anders akerheden) is quite different in that the members create primarily celtic and instrumental music. This appears to be rare, and I've found few other artists in the scene who do this.
